When you book we will ask you for a credit card / debit card number and expiry date to secure the booking. We will only use this card in the event of a late cancellation or non-arrival.
Policy for a booking of 1-2 rooms - The hotel will accept your cancellation without penalty up to 72 hours before your arrival. This is defined as being before 12 noon (the guest house’s check-in time) 3 days before you are due to stay.
Policy for a booking of more than 2 rooms - The hotel will accept your cancellation without penalty up to 7 days before your arrival. This is defined as being before 12 noon (the guest house’s check-in time) 7 days before you are due to stay.
What if you have to cancel?
In the event you cancel your booking inside the cancellation period we will attempt to fill your room – this includes cancellation of part of your stay following your arrival. If your room cannot be filled, the guest house will debit your card with the cost of your stay less any nights your room has been filled and £10 per room per night to cover the cost of any food or linen which has not been used/ consumed by you.
What does the term "cancellation policy" mean?
This refers to the time limit in advance of arrival, before which you are entitled to cancel your booking without incurring a charge. In other words the guest house has a cancellation policy of 72 hours prior to arrival for bookings of 1 or 2 rooms and 7 days prior to arrival for bookings of more than 2 rooms. If you cancel prior to this time, then you will not incur a charge. However, if you cancel less than 72 hours or 7 days prior to arrival (depending on the number of rooms you have booked), then a charge will be incurred. This charge will normally be equal to the cost of your stay less the cost of food and cleaning
